About: This Workshop is designed to introduce you to the world of Emergency Management. You will be given standard emergency management models from several industries to discuss best practices and proper methodologies. You will understand the different roles in each phase of an emergency. You will learn to identify, evaluate and measure different threats faced by your business and industry and determine the necessary mechanisms to contain and eliminate the emergency. You will take an active role on an emergency scenario and engage on the activities and communications during the Emergency Management process. Through a simulation exercise, and with resources provided as the Emergency develops, you will apply the learned concepts and tools to manage the situation before it escalates to a Crisis. This includes doing a comprehensive risk assessment of the scenario, the application of the results to a Vulnerability Assessment and a challenging and critical peer-review.
